Each year artwork is collected for the exhibit of YAM at NAEA Convention.
- Members submit original artwork created during the current school year by K-12 artists related to the theme.
- Teachers submit up to 2 student artworks per grade band (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) in high resolution jpeg or png format cropped to artwork dimensions. Submissions also include a student description of the artwork up to 100 words in length.
- Winners are selected in each grade band, with the overall winning design used for the Nevada YAM Flag Design.
- The flag flies at the Youth Art Month Museum during the National Art Education Association National Convention and displayed at the Nevada Department of Education YAM Virtual Showcase in March.
- Grade band winners will also be displayed at the National Art Education Association Convention.
